What’s Been Going On In Sheenaworld

Posted on November 19, 2014

Mornage all… …and yes I know that I have been neglecting my bloggery duties once again, but honestly……November the 18th ????….Where the he…..???  Anyway, what an action packed couple of weeks we have been through. The highlight, however, was the very bitter sweet visit to Northern France, and the grave of my Great Uncle Robert, who was killed in action on the 7th of November 1918, during the final days of WW1.  It has taken two, no three generations to finally find out where he lies, and on that slightly overcast morning…96 years to the very day…even possibly to the minute when he was killed, there we stood in our own…

Greetingths Mortalshhhhhhh It was a dark and stormy night at Douglass Towers.  The air was thick with gloom and dank stinky things……( Er no, not me!!)  The trees rustled in shivery harmony, as the dark corners flickered in shadow.  Creak after ceaseless creak filled the corridors, with heavy cloying Perfume de Paint Fusion filling the heaving air.  Hours it seemed, that I was alone….sitting…….sitting…….sitting….waiting for the horrific noise that I knew was surely coming my way.  My every strand of hair stood on end as through that dark black emptyness…..It came…….. “HEY GOPH……..WHERE DID YOU PUT THE…

Thursdays Sneakies…..

Posted on October 30, 2014

Evening all….   …and welcome to thurdays bit of bloggage.  It’ll be a bit of a quickie today, as I have fallen truly well behind with loads of work today, so guess who’ll be up all night with the sound of metal flowing, nay blasting through the old lugs, in the vain attempt at keeping the old peepers open……Got it in one!!! Anyway, how about I head straight into todays samples, all coming curtesy of our hero, who has been cranking up the arty volume over the last few days.  I gotta say, as usual, that these pics are no where near what these things look like in the paint, but they give an idea of what is possible with…

Mid-Week Madness And Some Peeks

Posted on October 29, 2014

Greetings Craft-Pickers…. …Can you guess what i’ve been listening to over the last few days……Some old Alan Freeman radio shows…….Absolutely fantastic.  Bit of a hero, Wor Alan, who guided me through my world of music when I was a nipper…and in turn has been with me this past week or so, whilst getting all sorts of things ready for The Boss and her brand new Weekender, which launches this saturday morning. You should see the artwork and cards that have been hitting the doormat since monday….They are stunning.  I don’t know why I am so surprised these days, as The Inkoids are second to non in their skill and imagination…

A Tangletastic Weekend

Posted on October 21, 2014

Morning Gophettes… Yes im back.  Back from one of the most enjoyable weekends I have had for quite a while, down in the Cotswolds, curtesy of our mates, Jane and Chris from Addicted 2 Craft.  We were based at the magnificent Tortworth Court for what was their annual crafting retreat, together with my new best mate and hero, Mel Heaton, and dozens of crafty loving ladies.  What a venue!  This place simply oozed class, and had the most beautiful garden.  Garden???….it was about the size of a small country. Here we have a pic of Douglass Towers just as we were leaving for weekend retreat……..Ere hang on!!  Sorry!….This…

Busy Wednesday Beckons

Posted on October 8, 2014

Morning ( Actually it’s about 6.15am) all So here we are half way through yet another busy week at Douglass Towers.  Things are beginning to ramp up towards the festive season, with The Boss deeply in thought regarding the featured projects and bits that you will play with on the Workshop days, next month and December.  I don’t think that it will be a surprise if I tell you that the AquaTints will be heavily featured, so to that end, we will be holding a meeting later today to start bulding up kits and all the usual goodies that go with one of her workshops……and that WILL include this years special guest, be it Santa, Bad Elf (don’t…

A Mighty Fine Weekend…..Not The Weather Though

Posted on October 6, 2014

Morning Campers. Campers!!!??…..You must be mad if you’ve decided to have a day out under canvass with this lot going on.  Tor-ential it is here at Douglass Towers, with both moi and The Monster Springers being completely confined to base.  The Boss gets back later today after her fantastic marathon Weekender, which seemed to go rather well methinks, so a huge “Thank You” to everyone who got involved.  Those paints are amazing, so if you were lucky enough to get them, you will have a blast creating all those effects.  As for that lantern…..I dunno what happened to it.  Did someone get it in the draw??  I did’nt hear it being…

Can It Really Be Friday…..Again???

Posted on October 3, 2014

Af’noon all. Ok, so the last time I checked me watch it was still thursday.  So where, oh where has the last 24 hours vanished to eh?? The days are short enough as it is, what with it getting dark at around 7ish, but somewhere between yesterday and today I seem to have missplaced about 16 hours.  Maybe i’ve had an alien abduction experience….Er don’t think so.  Could the diet be finally kicking in??..Don’t think it’s that either.  I know what it was.  I was lost in the timewarp that is Mission Control’s studio, unable to escape through the door and being trapped in what used to be an empty tidy neat and clean room.  Not any more…

The Light That Lights The Way

Posted on October 2, 2014

Af’noon all. What a day we’ve had here at Douglass Towers.  It all began at around 7.45 this morning, when we had a delivery of new goodies, which I have to admit just about blocked the whole of the entrance to the kitchen.  Now you know us, and The Kitchen has to be the most important room in anyones hoose……innit???…so any blockage in that direction was definitely a non starter.  Then it was straight into Mission Control, so that The Boss could wrap up her prep for the weekend, plus, I had a bit of a play with the new paints in order to provide said Boss with a giveaway….in the form of this……. …Thats right.  I…
