Greetingths Mortalshhhhhhh

It was a dark and stormy night at Douglass Towers.  The air was thick with gloom and dank stinky things……( Er no, not me!!)  The trees rustled in shivery harmony, as the dark corners flickered in shadow.  Creak after ceaseless creak filled the corridors, with heavy cloying Perfume de Paint Fusion filling the heaving air.  Hours it seemed, that I was alone….sitting…….sitting…….sitting….waiting for the horrific noise that I knew was surely coming my way.  My every strand of hair stood on end as through that dark black emptyness…..It came……..

“In the Sheenmobile”, I replied, in sure and certain mind that The Boss was about to launch a withdrawal of Gruel regime.  However, no such regime appeared and so here I am with todays final sneakies before tomorrows launch.  I would have been here a lot earlier, but I was uploading some essential stuff, and we all know how brill our broadband is, don’t we??

Anyway, here we are, Halloween all aroond, and The Boss well on her way down to C&C, with a totally full car, I can tell you.  Only trouble is she took off with both my house keys and hers, so I had to call in the cavalry, in the shape of my trusty cousin, who appeared sans doggy, with the spare, so crisis averted….yayyyy!

Reet, sample time, with a couple of cardy type ones today.  All of the samples will be up there in the gallery by tomorrow, so have a neb at some fantastic projects.

Awlrightythen…….here’s the first…

..Dont’cha just love this??  It is veryof an age, I think….Twenties??, thirties??…I’m not sure, but it so harks back to some times past….Beautiful!

Check this one out……

…Now I really like this tree.  Another rather Scandinavian in feel, featuring one of the new stamps being launched tomorrow.  Juicy blues and puple hues add to the kinda spookiness of this card…….Crrrreeeeaaaaakkkkkkkkkk!

Then finally for today’s samples, have a butchers at this one…

..using another of the new stamps to create this beautifully delicate card.

All of the samples seen over the last few days…….and a whole lot more will be featured on the Weekender shows beginning at 9am tomorrow moaning, and then right over the weekend… hence ‘Weekender’ I think.

As an added bonus, yours truly has been hard at work with this bit of Zentangling, using some of the new stamps as a base.  Thanks to Mel Heaton and her class the other week, I simple can’t find enough time to play at this technique…

…If you fancy something fairly easy and just very doodley, you won’t go far wrong with Zentangle.  Just get a pen and drift away into your own creative void…and play.  Anyway, this masterpiece will be a givaway during the weekend, so whoever gets it can have a good play around.

OK, the witching hour approaches, and I am worried in case something manifests itself in front of me.  Mind you, if that happens, it won’t be the only one if you get my drift.  Have a fun night, and see you next week……..

“whose there??”

“who is it??”

“springers…is that you??”

BOOOO!   Gotya!

Bye for now

Hi Russ you really have taken to tangling, your work is stunning I was in the same work shop as you but my work hasn’t reached your standard yet. Thanks for the inspiration. Kath

Brilliant samples, and a brilliant bit of zentangling, l was at that great weekend and whilst I’m really chuffed with my bit of zentangle it’s not a patch on yours! Still, got the week ended to look forward too.

    Morning Gail and Kath….

…That workshop and weekend was absolutely fab. Sheena and me both had a total blast, and hope that we can get a return invite very soon. Thanks to Mel, I have been beavering away at the old Zentangling ever since. I just grab me pen and simply drift away…which I really don’t find too difficult to do….I know that it is hard to believe. Fantastic way to wind down.
The Might Toon are on the telly today, so I will have plenty of time to drift away and play.

It was great to meet everyone, and how mega did Jane and Chris do to pull everything together…Respect.
