Yeshhh!…I’m Bacckkkkgggg. September 30, 2014

Mornin’ all!

Yesh, its been a bit of a fraught week, as yours truly had to have an emergency op on the old gob last monday, which involved the removing of two wisdom teeth….One daed easy, but the other had managed to bury itself into me cheek and had bursted a nasty little number, which went poisonous….yughhhhh!   I won’t be boring you , or decribing the various colours and textures that went on ( which incidentally will be made into a brand new paint collection)….Enough to say that the offending item is now long gone and the gob is beginning to feel normal once again.  One thing I noticed was the age of the surgeon.  There I was, waiting to go into theatre, when this young sixth former came into the waiting room and called me name.  We, along with an equally young forth-former Nurse, went into this room, where I was asked to sit in the old lounger of pain.  Anyway, to cut a long painful story short, the sixth-former started to get a surgeons gown on…..then a mask and eye cover….followed by a pair of rubber gloves!!!  Eh?…I thought ( Among several other things), but before I could think any further……”Right you will feel a couple of little scratches”……before he lanced me by now quivering gob with the numbing stuff…..Never felt a thing!……Then in he went.  The first one came out in the blink of an eye, but the second one….The one that had decided to tuck itself away in me cheek……..The one that had also decided to start and poison moi……little bug-er…..That one definitely put up some fight.  The kid was digging and pushing so hard that I thought that he would come up covered in oil.  What a job.  Anyway, at last the offending article was removed and the stiches were sewn…….Phew!!…..

Very young…but absolutely fantasticaaly professional….AND skilled.  Made me feel a tad aged though.  Thanks Mark

….And therer I was for all of last week and into this.  The swelling has gone down, but the stitches are still in place, but will disintergrate?/!! in a day or two.

Anyway, that is my excuse for lack of blog action, and i’m sticking to it.

….Oh yes!….and then I woke up yesterday morning and I had added another year to me age……..so 32 here I come!!!!!   So The Boss took me out for a birthday treat……around Lakeland Plastics……..several Bead shops…….oh aye, and the odd clothes and cookware gaff……..Such Fun!

Anyway, now that I am back and raring to go, how about I tell you about this weeks ‘Weekender’ from Sheena, kicking off at 8am on saturday.  Talk about blowing hot and cold……These newbies look totally hot to trot…or cool as ice, depending on what new colours you use.  What we have is a brand new collection of stamps,……ANNNND….Wait for it , wait for it…………….some brand new other goodies.  These other goodies I will show tomorrow, as I don’t have the full names or details…….But they are blindingly good, if the opinion of ‘The Inkoids’ is anything to go by.

However, how about we take a look at one or two samples today, and as the week flows I will give youloads of peeks and ideas.  Then I will have the usual Gallery up there before the launch show on saturday morning.  Sounds Good???

….well in that case lets have a look…….Through the round window…………..

Now I think that all of these samples are from Wor Lisa, as I was under so much pressure to deliver…….It’s hell I tell ye…….

….with this first one taking us all the way to Africa on safari………….

Remember ‘Daktari’???…with Clarence the cross eyed lion???…Well here his cousin…Alan.  Now you can’t get any more African than the King of The beasts, as this beautiful sample shows.  Very noble and a bit Simba-ish, but just check out those colours.  Its like we are there…..

Then we have this……

featuring ‘The Family’ checking over those wonderful hot African plains.  …

…Then as a final trip today to somewhere hot…….

…we have this one.  Now does this say Africa or what?  The colours…….the animals…and that border all blend to transport you all those miles away……Simply beautiful me thinks..

Ok, as I think Goddard said ( I may be wrong on me physics here) “for every action, there is an equal and opposite re-action…..”

…and so here is ours, in the form of total coldery…….Viking style……

…Bit spooky, this.  Fancy sitting down on Tynemouth beach and you cop this bug-er coming at you out of the mist.  The small phrase ‘So-ding Off ‘ mat just spring to mind.  Look at those colours and backgrounds…all mixed to give this atmospheric image……Just in time for Halloween eh?

“If it was’nt for those meddlin Springers……..”

Finally for this postage……..

…let’s check out some bears looking for a spot of salmon supper.  Again we have this vivid blue sky, and tranquil, if ble-din cold water.  I am sitting here shivering I can tell ye, and will be forced to put me ‘I am 32′ onesie on.  Hang on!!……Who has added the ‘again’ in bright red Sharpie???  Cheeky bug-ers……..I will search you down.

Ahem!….anyway readers, that is me for today…….Andy and Gopher are waving goodbye…….Goodbye……..Goooooooood Byyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

See you tomoz
