Port Sunlight workshop, Merseyside

Posted on March 21, 2011

I am so happy to announce the date and venue for Sheena’s workshop.  The date is Saturday 21st May at Port Sunlight in the Wirral.  This will be a full day of Paint Fusion fun, with loads of hints and techniques throughout the day.

We will be housed in the Lyceum, which is the old Schoolhouse, and looks absolutely perfect for our needs.  We will be providing tea, coffee and Biscuits, but as there are no catering facilities, you will need to bring along a packed lunch.  The full cost for the day, which starts at 10am through until 4ish, is £65, and includes all of the materials that you will use for the projects.  Anyone who has been to one of Sheena’s workshops will know how much crafty fun is to be had.

If you would like to come along to play for the day, you can book your place by sending a mail, stating how many places to russ@sheena.tv, or info@sheena.tv, and your place will be confirmed by return.

We are so looking forward to visiting Liverpool ( although we now know that its on the other side of the river! :-) ), and seeing some new faces as well as some regulars.

New Shows 1st and 2nd February!

Posted on January 31, 2011

Afternoon all!

What a week we have had. What with Photo shoots, new products, samples for shows, and new design ideas, together with bad backs,……..oh! and flu aswell, I have now realised how crucial I am, I mean Russ, is to the operation. I have, er he, has tended to everything from washing to cooking, and should be given a huge pay rise, company car, and full expenses account…………….oh!, and a season ticket for the Mags.

Anyway, Sheena………..I mean I, have some shows coming up on C&C, on Tuesday the 1st Feb at 10am and 1pm, and also on Wednesday the 2nd Feb at 10am and 3pm. On Wednesday, I will be using some Daler Rowney products with some of my ‘Sketchy’ stamps, to create a different look and finish to my images. The photo below, is one of the finished samples, which is actually a birthday gift for my cousin, Tracy. I have managed to grab them back for the show, as it shows that the stamps can be used for much more than merely making cards and scrapbooks.

Daler Rowney have been around for a very long time, and always stay ahead with both trends and quality. For this show, I will be using Chalk Pastels, Watercolour Pencils and Pastel Pencils, each one giving a different feel to the final project. The frame is from a well known Swedish store, and shows how you can display the finished images on a table, or hang them on a wall.

The picture on the left has been coloured with the chalk pastels, leaving a softer feel than the one on the right, which was done with the watercolour pencils. Both are easy to apply and make a change from the usual Distress Inks or Powders. I can’t wait to show you the demos next week.

On another note, I am hoping that the new web site will be up and running either tomorrow or Tuesday. There will be regular updates, features and tips, so don’t forget to drop in.

So……before I go, I think that I, er I mean Russ, deserves a pat on the back for all his efforts and help. My gain is the crafting worlds loss, and he deserves everything I have asked for above!!!!

Bye for now

Gopher (The)…….I mean Sheena!

A couple of upcoming appearances

Posted on January 30, 2011

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to quickly post about a couple of things I’ll be doing in February!

First of all, I’ll be at Stitches (or to give its full name, the Craft, Hobby and Stitch International show!) at the NEC between February 20th and February 22nd. That’s a trade show, but don’t worry – I’m planning to do some consumer shows later in the year!

Secondly, if you live in around Preston then get 7th February into your diary! I’ll be doing an all-day demo at CardCraft Plus – detail in the events section of the web site! Leoni from Create & Craft is going to be there too – I can’t wait! It’s going to be a cracking day!
